DUNGARVAN:  3 adult Mediterranean Gulls & 18 Little Egrets at Barnawee.

Weds 5 Aug:
HELVICK HEAD:  Adult LONG-TAILED SKUA, GREAT SHEARWATER, Balearic Shearwater, 2 Sooty Shearwaters, c7500 Manx Shearwaters, 3 'blue' Fulmars, 4 Storm Petrels, 4 Pomarine Skuas, 15 Great Skuas, 8 Arctic Skuas, 229+ Puffins & 2 Porpoises (seawatch 08:00-13:00).
ARDMORE:  7 Mediterranean Gulls (4 adults & 3 juveniles) at the Curragh.
FERRY POINT:  2 Common Sandpipers.

Tues 4 Aug:
WHITING BAY:  Adult Mediterranean Gull (20:25-20:35).
ARDMORE: 22 Mediterranean Gulls night-roosting in bay (11 adults, 10 juveniles & a 2nd-winter, 19:55-21:15).
DUNGARVAN: 3 adult Mediterranean Gulls  at Barnawee.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  2 Common Sandpipers at Saleen.

Mon 3 Aug:
HELVICK HEAD:  Balearic Shearwater, Sooty Shearwater, c3000 Manx Shearwaters, Arctic Skua & 5 Puffins (seawatch 06:00-08:30).
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  Male Hen Harrier.
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  2 Sooty Shearwaters & a Great Skua (1 hr seawatch).

Sun 2 Aug:
HELVICK HEAD:  4 Sooty Shearwaters, 2 Balearic Shearwaters, Storm Petrel, 24+ Pomarine Skuas, 8+ Arctic Skuas, 18+ Great Skuas, 203 Puffins, 9 Common Scoters (seawatch 10:15-19:30); also a Hummingbird Hawk-moth.
RAM HEAD:  2 Sooty Shearwaters, a Pomarine Skua, 3 Great Skuas & 12 Puffins W (seawatch 17:15-18:15).

WATERFORD HARBOUR:  16+ Mediterranean Gull (8 adults, 76 juveniles, a 1st-summer & a 2nd-summer) & a 1st-summer Little Gull at Woodstown (evening roost).

Sun 26 Jul:
HELVICK HEAD:  Juvenile LONG-TAILED SKUA, 14 Pomarine Skuas, 19 Great Skuas, 5 Arctic Skuas, 100+ Puffins, 1+ Storm Petrel, 1000+ Manx Shearwaters, 100+ Arctic Terns & a Porpoise (seawatch 08:15-10:15).
TRAMORE:  4 adult Mediterranean Gulls at boating lake.

Sat 25 Jul:
RAM HEAD:  Sunfish & Arctic Skua; 77 large Kittiwake chicks from 145 nests counted in July (moderate breeding success).
ARDMORE:  6 juvenile Mediterranean Gulls in harbour.
DUNGARVAN:  Green Sandpiper, 3 Common Sandpipers & a Dipper at Ballyneety.

Thurs 23 Jul:
GREAT NEWTOWN HEAD:  2 Arctic Skuas W (seawatch 15:45-16:15).
WATERFORD CITY:  Hummingbird Hawk-moth.
ARDMORE:  Another Hummingbird Hawk-moth at Dysert (also 21 July).

Sun 19 Jul:
ARDMORE:  Adult & juvenile Mediterranean Gull in harbour.  
RAM HEAD:  High count of 20 Fin Whales, also Arctic or Pomarine Skua.
LISMORE:  Hummingbird Hawk-moth.
Nr BALLYLANEEN:  Pine Marten dead on the road.

Fri 17 Jul:
HELVICK HEAD:  Pomarine Skua.
DUNGARVAN:  5 Common Sandpipers at Killongford pools.
CLONEA:  5 Whimbrel & 2 Common Sandpipers at Ballinclamper.
BALLYVOYLE:  50+ Choughs.

HELVICK HEAD:  Pomarine Skua, 5 Arctic Skuas, 3 Great Skuas & 4+ Puffins (seawatches 16:00-17:45 & 19:35-21:10), c400 Manx Shearwaters (19L35-21:20).

Off HELVICK HEAD:  50 Common Scoter W past boat half-mile offshore.
Off MINE HEAD: 5 Pomarine Skuas, 2 Great Skuas & a 1st-yr Mediterranean Gull from boat 1 mile out.
RAM HEAD:  7+ Fin Whales 15 km S of head.
TRAMORE BAY:  Arctic Skua & Great Crested Grebe (seawatch 15:00-16:00).

BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Great Skua W, 2 Arctic Skuas E (1 W) & a Storm Petrel(seawatches 05:45-07:30 & 16:00-16:30), 360 Manx Shearwaters E (16:00-16:30); Clouded Yellow butterfly on land.
BALLYSCANLAN / CARRIGAVANTRY:  Long-eared Owl chicks calling at two locations.
SEAFIELD (Bunmahon):  3 Green Sandpipers.

HELVICK HEAD:  30 Common Scoter W.

KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  Cuckoo, male Hen Harrier & 20+ Ravens.

Sat 20 Jun:
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  Adult or near-adult WHITE-TAILED EAGLE, also 3 Hen Harriers (pair & ringtail at separate locations).
COMERAGH MOUNTAINS:  Small numbers of Green Hairstreak butterflies.
KNOCKADERRY RESERVOIR:  Emperor dragonfly.

Fri 19 Jun:
Nr DUNHILL:  Long-eared Owl fledgling again.

Weds 17 Jun:
Nr DUNHILL:  2 Long-eared Owls. (chick/fledgling & adult).
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  Male & female Wigeon.

Nr DUNHILL:  Long-eared Owl fledgling.
RAM HEAD:  145 occupied Kittiwake nests in study plots (>85% of whole colony), a 16% increase from June 2014; also a Bordered Straw moth.

CASTLETOWN FEN:  2 Cuckoos, Water Rail & Spotted Flycatcher.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  GLOSSY IBIS at Clohernagh, Reed Warbler & drake Tufted Duck at Lisselan.
CARRIGAVANTRY:  17 Crossbills.
BALLYVOYLE:  2 Spotted Flycatchers above Ballyvoyle bridge.
Nr WHITING BAY:  Small group of Tree Sparrows including 2 juveniles nr W of bay.

Nr WATERFORD CITY:  Another HOOPOE (#8) at Kilcohan side of Couse bridge roundabout.
CARRIGNAGOUR:  HOOPOE again this morning.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  Yellow-legged Gull at Saleen.

Mon 13 Apr:
TRAMORE:  Female MARSH HARRIER at Riverstown, adult Ring-billed Gull at boating lake.
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Male SUBALPINE WARBLER & a HOOPOE still present.
KILMURRIN:  2 HOOPOES again (1 bird seen over the weekend) & a 1st-winter Little Gull.

TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  GLOSSY IBIS at Clohernagh;, 1st-winter BONAPARTE'S GULL, Ruff, transition-plumaged Spotted Redshank & a Willow Warbler at Lisselan; 5 Yellowhammers between Lisselan & Kilmacleague.
KNOCKADERRY RESERVOIR:  Comma butterfly.
MONAVULLAGH MOUNTAINS:  Male Hen Harrier.
DUNGARVAN:  4 Long-tailed Ducks off pitch & putt course. 
HELVICK HEAD: 7+ Willow Warblers.
BALLYBRACK:  6 Holly Blue butterflies.
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  2 Hen Harriers (male & female) & pair of Red Grouse.
VARIOUS:  Swallows widespread in small numbers (7+ locations), Wheatears at 3+ locations (coastal & upland).

TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  1st-winter BONAPARTE'S GULL, Ruff & Gadwall at Lisselan.
BUNMAHON:  2 Green Sandpipers, 3 Swallows & a Willow Warbler (1st of year).

TRAMORE BACKSTRAND: GREAT WHITE EGRET (only 2nd confirmed county record) flew E at Lisselan; Spotted Redshank & Short-eared Owl at Backstrand.
WATERFORD CITY:  Hummingbird Hawk-moth at Arbourmount, Ferrybank.
BUNMAHON:  2 Common Scoter.
DUNGARVAN:  6 Long-tailed Ducks at seaward side of the Cunnigar.
HELVICK HEAD:  Great Skua.
ARDMORE:  6 White Wagtails.

Fri 3 Apr:
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS: 3 Red Grouse just over border on Co Tipperary side.
YOUGHAL ESTUARY:  2 1st-winter Iceland Gulls at Kinsalebeg.
DUNGARVAN:  4 Tufted Duck between the Cunnigar & the pitch & putt course.

WATERFORD CITY:  Swallow over Francis Street - first report of year.

Weds 1 Apr:
GLENRIBBON (nr Lismore): 5 Jays & Red Squirrel.
