TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  Adult Mediterranean Gull at Lisselan.
BLACKWATER VALLEY:  Red-legged Partridge at Newport East, Otter at Clashmore broads.

Thurs 25 Jun:
ARDMORE:  21 Whimbrel (very late or very early?) on Curragh Strand, Mediterranean Gull '666' at Ardmore harbour.

Tues 23 Jun:
COMERAGH MOUNTAINS:  Male Hen Harrier.
HELVICK HEAD:  30 Common Scoter W.

Sun 21 Jun:
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  Cuckoo, male Hen Harrier & 20+ Ravens.

Sat 20 Jun:
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  Adult or near-adult WHITE-TAILED EAGLE, also 3 Hen Harriers (pair & ringtail at separate locations).
COMERAGH MOUNTAINS:  Small numbers of Green Hairstreak butterflies.
KNOCKADERRY RESERVOIR:  Emperor dragonfly.

Fri 19 Jun:
Nr DUNHILL:  Long-eared Owl fledgling again.

Weds 17 Jun:
Nr DUNHILL:  2 Long-eared Owls. (chick/fledgling & adult).
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  Male & female Wigeon.

Sun 14 Jun:
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  Reed Warbler & drake Wigeon at Lisselan.
CASTLETOWN FEN:  Cuckoo.
BALLYSCANLON LAKE:  Reed Warbler singing.
Nr DUNHILL:  Long-eared Owl fledgling.
RAM HEAD:  145 occupied Kittiwake nests in study plots (>85% of whole colony), a 16% increase from June 2014; also a Bordered Straw moth.

Sat 13 Jun:
CASTLETOWN FEN:  2 Cuckoos, Water Rail & Spotted Flycatcher.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  GLOSSY IBIS at Clohernagh, Reed Warbler & drake Tufted Duck at Lisselan.
CARRIGAVANTRY:  17 Crossbills.
BALLYVOYLE:  2 Spotted Flycatchers above Ballyvoyle bridge.
Nr WHITING BAY:  Small group of Tree Sparrows including 2 juveniles nr W of bay.

Fri 12 Jun:
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  Cuckoo & Reed Warbler at Lisselan.
BALLYSCANLON LAKE:  Reed Warbler singing.
CARRIGAVANTRY:  Crossbill.
COMERAGH MOUNTAINS:  Cuckoo above Kilclooney Wood.

Thurs 11 Jun:
CARRIGAVANTRY:  HOBBY again today.
CASTLETOWN FEN:  Cuckoo calling.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND: 2 Wigeon (male & female), Cuckoo & a singing Reed Warbler at Lisselan.
BUNMAHON:  Cuckoo.
Nr CARRIGNAGOUR (nr Lismore): Cuckoo calling.
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  2 Cuckoos at Glenafallia.

CLONEA STRAND:  50 Whimbrel & 2 Great Northern Divers.

Sun 10 May:
HELVICK HEAD:  Seawatch totals of 24+ Pomarine Skuas (including 14 in one group in late afternoon), 4-5 Arctic Skuas, 8 Great Skuas, 18+ Puffins & 2-3 Porpoises (11:00-13:15 & 15:15-17:15); 4 Spotted Flycatchers on land.
RAM HEAD:  c300 Manx Shearwaters W (11:45-12:30).
KILLURE / KILCARAGH: c20 Sedge Warblers.

CLONEA BAY:  Purple Sandpiper at Ballinclamper.
DUNGARVAN:  2 Swifts over town centre, 3 Harbour Seals opposite Park Hotel.
HELVICK HEAD:  Arctic Skua, 3 Puffins & 2 Porpoises.
MONAVULLAGH  MOUNTAINS:  2+ Crossbills at Bohadoon Mountain.
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  2 Red Grouse (separate locations).

TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  250+ Whimbrel & 6 Gadwall at Lisselan.
KNOCKADERRY RESERVOIR:  Common Sandpiper.
DUNGARVAN:  1st-summer Mediterranean Gull at the Cunnigar, Red-throated Diver & Great Northern Diver at Gold Coast.
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  Cuckoo calling.

HELVICK HEAD: Puffin,  2 Great Skuas & 100+ Manx Shearwaters.
Nr LEMYBRIEN:  Kingfisher & 2 Dippers at Ardamone bridge

DUNGARVAN:  Grasshopper Warbler singing at Brickey canal, 2 female Long-tailed Ducks off Ballynacourty pier.
CLONEA BAY:  Basking Shark off Ballinard.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  12 Whimbrel & 6 Wheatears at Lisselan.

BLACKWATER VALLEY:  3 Common Sandpipers at Dromana.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  7 Gadwall, Common Sandpiper, 52 Whimbrel & 6 Wheatears at Lisselan.

Nr CAPPOQUIN:  Common Sandpiper on River Blackwater.
CLONEA BAY:  16 Whimbrel at Ballinclamper.
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  7 Wheatears & 10 Willow Warblers.
WATERFORD CITY:  Whitethroat at Ballinakill - 1st of year.

BALLYVOYLE:  HOOPOE in a garden where 2 Hoopoes present all week.
DUNGARVAN:  4 Long-tailed Duck near Ballynacourty pier.
KNOCKADERRY RESERVOIR:  2 Sedge Warblers.
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  Cuckoo calling & Hen Harrier pair.

BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Male SUBALPINE WARBLER.

WATERFORD CITY:  Sedge Warbler singing at Knockboy (1st of year).
ARDMORE:  Grasshopper Warbler at Dysert (1st of year), 5 Whimbrel at Curragh beach.

BROWNSTOWN HEAD: Male SUBALPINE WARBLER., Blackcap & 2+ Tree Sparrows.

Tues 14 Apr:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD: Male SUBALPINE WARBLER & HOOPOE.
Nr WATERFORD CITY:  Another HOOPOE (#8) at Kilcohan side of Couse bridge roundabout.
CARRIGNAGOUR:  HOOPOE again this morning.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  Yellow-legged Gull at Saleen.

Mon 13 Apr:
TRAMORE:  Female MARSH HARRIER at Riverstown, adult Ring-billed Gull at boating lake.
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Male SUBALPINE WARBLER & a HOOPOE still present.
KILMURRIN:  2 HOOPOES again (1 bird seen over the weekend) & a 1st-winter Little Gull.

Sun 12 Apr:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Male SUBALPINE WARBLER & 2 HOOPOES (original bird plus a new arrival #7).
HELVICK HEAD:  Male VELVET SCOTER & 49 Common Scoter W.
Nr MINE HEAD: HOOPOE.

BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  HOOPOE still present, male SUBALPINE WARBLER found.

BROWNSTOWN HEAD: Willow Warbler, 4 Chiffchaffs, female Blackcap & 2 Tree Sparrows.
LISMORE:  House Martin on River Blackwater - 1st of year for Co Waterford.

Mon 6 Apr:
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  GLOSSY IBIS at Clohernagh;, 1st-winter BONAPARTE'S GULL, Ruff, transition-plumaged Spotted Redshank & a Willow Warbler at Lisselan; 5 Yellowhammers between Lisselan & Kilmacleague.
KNOCKADERRY RESERVOIR:  Comma butterfly.
MONAVULLAGH MOUNTAINS:  Male Hen Harrier.
DUNGARVAN:  4 Long-tailed Ducks off pitch & putt course. 
HELVICK HEAD: 7+ Willow Warblers.
BALLYBRACK:  6 Holly Blue butterflies.
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  2 Hen Harriers (male & female) & pair of Red Grouse.
VARIOUS:  Swallows widespread in small numbers (7+ locations), Wheatears at 3+ locations (coastal & upland).

Sun 5 Apr:
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  1st-winter BONAPARTE'S GULL, Ruff & Gadwall at Lisselan.
BUNMAHON:  2 Green Sandpipers, 3 Swallows & a Willow Warbler (1st of year).
LISMORE:  10 Sand Martins at River Blackwater.
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  Jack Snipe, Red Grouse & male Hen Harrier.

Sat 4 Apr:
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND: GREAT WHITE EGRET (only 2nd confirmed county record) flew E at Lisselan; Spotted Redshank & Short-eared Owl at Backstrand.
WATERFORD CITY:  Hummingbird Hawk-moth at Arbourmount, Ferrybank.
BUNMAHON:  2 Common Scoter.
DUNGARVAN:  6 Long-tailed Ducks at seaward side of the Cunnigar.
HELVICK HEAD:  Great Skua.
ARDMORE:  6 White Wagtails.

Fri 3 Apr:
KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS: 3 Red Grouse just over border on Co Tipperary side.
YOUGHAL ESTUARY:  2 1st-winter Iceland Gulls at Kinsalebeg.
DUNGARVAN:  4 Tufted Duck between the Cunnigar & the pitch & putt course.

WATERFORD CITY:  Swallow over Francis Street - first report of year.
