Wetland birds (I-WeBS)

national I-WeBS survey

Irish Wetland Birds Survey (I-WeBS): some summary results for Co Waterford

The Irish Wetland Bird Survey (I-WeBS) - underway every winter 1994/95 onwards - is the national monitoring project for non-breeding waterbirds, wintering in Ireland, organised by BirdWatch Ireland and the NPWS section of the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government.  The project aims to be the primary source of data for the conservation of waterfowl populations and the wetland habitats on which they depend.
