Irish Wetland Birds Survey (I-WeBS): some summary results for Co Waterford

The Irish Wetland Bird Survey (I-WeBS) is the national monitoring project for non-breeding waterbirds, wintering in Ireland, organised by BirdWatch Ireland and the NPWS section of the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government.  The project aims to be the primary source of data for the conservation of waterfowl populations and the wetland habitats on which they depend.  Winter 2007/08 will be the survey's 14th season (I-WeBS began in 1994/95).

Please note that the counts quoted below are © waterfordbirds.com and provide only a selective summary of available information.  These counts should not be quoted elsewhere without contacting the website compilers.  Preferably, please contact the I-WeBS Office at BirdWatch Ireland for the official I-WeBS dataset.  Text updated 15 Oct 2007.
