Sat 31 Oct:
HELVICK HEAD:  RED-RUMPED SWALLOW (1st county record), House Martin, 9 Swallows, 5 female / immature Black Redstarts, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 3 Chiffchaffs & 2 Tree Sparrows.
DUNGARVAN:  2 BLACK-NECKED GREBES.
ARDMORE:  Male Blackcap & 2 Swallows.
BALLYQUIN (nr Ardmore) to GLENCORRIN:  2 Black Redstarts at Ballyquin; Wheatear, Dipper, 2nd-winter Iceland Gull & 4 Mediterranean Gulls (1st-w, 2nd-w & 2 adults).
RINCREW:  3 Otters.
BALLYVOONEY COVE:  Great Skua & 2 f/imm Black Redstarts.
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Lesser Whitethroat (since 23 Oct), male Ring Ouzel, f/imm Black Redstart, Great Skua (flew east), Great Northern Diver (east overhead), 3 Blackcaps (female & 2 males), 16 Chiffchaffs, 30+ Skylarks & 5+ Redwings; also 3 Painted Ladies & a Red Admiral.
WATERFORD CITY:  Swallow over King's Channel.
 
Fri 30 Oct:
ARDMORE:  6 Swallow.
 
Mon 26 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Merlin, Little Egret, 6 Swallows (flew E), Lesser Whitethroat, Garden Warbler, 8+ Tree Sparrows, 11 Lesser Redpolls & 4 Siskins.
DUNHILL:  3-4 Water Rails calling from marsh. 
BONMAHON:  Kingfisher.
CLONEA/BALLINARD:  Swallow & 12 Fieldfares at Ballinclamper; Wheatear & Purple Sandpiper at Clonea; House Martin & 4 Swallows at Ballinard.
DUNGARVAN:  Swallow at the Gold Coast.
 
Sun 25 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Merlin, Garden Warbler & 4+ Chiffchaffs; Scarce Bordered Straw & Vestal moths trapped overnight.
DUNGARVAN:  Whimbrel nr Ballynagaul.
 
Fri 23 Oct:
WATERFORD CITY:  Kingfisher inside a cinema building(!) at Poleberry, beside St John's River.
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Yellow-browed Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat & 2 Lesser Redpolls.
CLONEA STRAND:  Black Redstart; also 20 Fieldfares at Ballinclamper.
RAM HEAD:  Glaucous or Iceland Gull.
 
Thurs 22 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Garden Warbler & male Blackcap.
CLONEA STRAND:  2 Great Northern Divers at Ballinclamper.
 
Mon 19 Oct:
CLONEA STRAND:  Black Redstart, Swallow & 800+ Black-headed Gulls at Ballinclamper.
BALLYVOYLE BRIDGE:  2 Dippers.
 
Sun 18 Oct:
LISMORE:  Hoopoe in a garden.
HELVICK HEAD:  Swallow, female Blackcap & Chiffchaff.
CLONEA STRAND:  House Martin, up to 20 Swallows & Chiffchaff at Ballinard.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  555 Brent Geese (very few juveniles - 4 out of 139 or 2.8%) and a Sandwich Tern.
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Merlin, Garden Warbler, female Blackcap & 4 Lesser Redpolls.
 
Sat 17 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  2 Tree Sparrows, Common Sandpiper, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, 5 Siskins & 6 Lesser Redpolls.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  Common Sandpiper at Clohernagh.
SOUTH CO KILKENNY:  Buzzard.
CLONEA STRAND:  1st-winter Mediterranean Gull & 5 House Martins at Ballinclamper.
 
Fri 16 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Garden Warbler & 90+ Skylarks.
 
Thurs 15 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Merlin, Tree Sparrow (ringed) & 3 Lesser Redpolls.
DUNGARVAN:  1400 Black-tailed Godwits (850 opposite Park Hotel, 550 at Barnawee bridge).
HELVICK HEAD:  Whinchat.
 
Weds 14 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Common Sandpiper, 4 Tree SparrowsGarden Warbler, male Blackcap, a late Willow Warbler, 4 Chiffchaffs & 2 Lesser Redpolls.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  2 male Long-tailed Ducks & 80 Ringed Plover off Saleen.
CLONEA STRAND:Whimbrel at Ballinclamper.
BRICKEY CANAL (nr Dungarvan):  Water Rail.
MINE HEAD:  Merlin & several Tree Sparrows.
 
Tues 13 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  2 Tree Sparrows, male Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaffs, 3 Lesser Redpolls & a Siskin.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  2 male Long-tailed Ducks, 480 Brent Geese & 42 Little Egrets.
 
Mon 12 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD: Tree Sparrow, Garden Warbler, Whitethroat, 2 Blackcaps, 5 Chiffchaffs, 120 Swallows, 110 Skylarks, 30 Lesser Redpolls (ringed) & 4 Siskins.
 
Sun 11 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD: Female Blackcap, 2 Tree Sparrows, 55 Swallows, 30 Skylarks, 4 Chiffchaffs, a late Willow Warbler, 2 Lesser Redpolls & a Migrant Hawker dragonfly.
SOUTH of WATERFORD CITY:  Buzzard.
 
Sat 10 Oct:
HELVICK HEAD:  RADDE'S WARBLER (2nd county record), Yellow-browed Warbler, Firecrest, female Blackcap, Willow Warbler & 5+ Chiffchaffs.
BALLYVOONEY COVE:  Whinchat.
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Yellow-browed Warbler (in Coolum valley), Pied Flycatcher, male Blackcap, 5 Chiffchaffs, 5 Lesser Redpolls, 2 Tree Sparrows & a Common Sandpiper.
 
Fri 9 Oct:
BALLYVOONEY COVE:  Redstart (probably 1st-winter male).
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  4 Common Scoters flew east, Common Sandpiper,  female Blackcap & 7 Chiffchaffs.
 
Thurs 8 Oct:
WHITING BAY:  3 Wheatears & 4 Swallows.
BRICKEY CANAL (nr Dungarvan):  Green Sandpiper.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  3 Curlew Sandpipers & >200 Redshank at Ballinattin.
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Merlin, 3 Lesser Redpolls & 12 Red Admirals.
 
Weds 7 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:   Male Hen Harrier, 2 Common Scoters (flew W), Tree SparrowGarden Warbler, male Blackcap, 11 Chiffchaffs., 3 Goldcrests, 150 Skylarks, 60 Swallows (flying E)  & 9 Lesser Redpolls.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  45 Little Egrets.
BALLYSHUNNOCK RESERVOIR:  2 Fieldfares.
CLONEA STRAND:  1st-winter Mediterranean Gull at Ballinclamper.
 
Tues 6 Oct:
CLONEA STRAND:  Curlew Sandpiper at Ballinclamper.
DUNGARVAN:  2 Fieldfares (1st of the autumn).
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Garden Warbler & 2 Chiffchaffs.
 
Mon 5 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Spotted Flycatcher, 170+ Swallows (flying E or NE), male Blackcap, 5 Chiffchaffs, 4 Goldcrests, 3 Lesser Redpolls, a Siskin & 2 Migrant Hawker dragonflies.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  Merlin, adult male Long-tailed Duck, 3 Gadwall & 2 Whimbrel near the spits, also 580 Brent Geese, 42 Little Egrets & 180 Mallard.
 
Sun 4 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Spotted Flycatcher, 2 Chiffchaffs, Wheatear, 15+ Lesser Redpoll, & a Siskin.
CLONEA STRAND:  White Wagtail & Wheatear at Ballinclamper.
 
Sat 3 Oct:
WHITING BAY:  BuzzardMerlin.
RAM HEAD:  Blackcap.
ARDMORE:  3rd-winter Yellow-legged Gull at Curragh beach.
KIELY'S CROSS ROADS (Drum Hills):  Female / immature Hen Harrier.
DUNGARVAN:  80+ Little Egrets at Killongford, Whimbrel & 6 Wheatears at the Cunnigar, 1350 Black-tailed Godwit & 165 Knot at Ballyneety.
BALLINARD:  Merlin.
 
Fri 2 Oct:
WHITING BAY:  Adult Mediterranean Gull & a Wheatear.
CLONEA STRAND:  Adult Mediterranean Gull at Ballinclamper.
 
Thurs 1 Oct:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Spotted Flycatcher, Wheatear, 6 Chiffchaffs & 4-5 Goldcrests.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  277 Brent Geese near sandhills (5 young or 2.4% in a sample of 206).
CLONEA STRAND:  Adult Mediterranean Gull at Ballinclamper.
WHITING BAY:  Merlin.
