Migrant Moths Ireland: recent migrants

Welcome to the Migrant Moths Ireland webpage, providing up-to-date reports, summary and archival material on both common and rarer immigrant moths throughout the island.

Please email any records (recent or older), and photographs if available, as frequently as possible to migrants [at] mothsireland.com, or post to the MothsIreland newsgroup. Many thanks to those who have contributed to date.

Records listed here may include unverified reports and are subject to later updates. Records submitted for Northern Ireland will be copied to Butterfly Conservation Northern Ireland for their website (www.bcni.org.uk/). Records will also be used for an annual report on migrant Lepidoptera in the Irish Naturalists' Journal, and may be passed to other websites, newsgroups and the compilers of the annual report in The Entomologist's Record.
